Milamber Purpose

Milamber's purpose is to build, house and maintain a digital repository for learning to help individuals, companies or organisations, be they big or small, to improve business practices or their own development.

Enablers to meet this purpose

Milamber has secured use of a state of the art platform that creates small learning objects from content harvested via a bespoke Digital Preservation Library. The platform is able to search, extract relevant content, mash it up together with other content and create a learning object ready for sale. This extremely advanced technology allows each nugget to have a royalty manifest which determines what royalties the individual content owners receive.

This platform will be made available to Milamber Members, who will be able to use the platform to create their own Nuggets that will then be stored for selling and distribution.

The critical starting point for this is the creation of the Digital Repository and the breadth, depth and quality of information it contains. Milamber has already attracted significant  business education content, along with Text, Audio, Video and Simulations from many leading content providers as the core of the Digital Preservation Library.

The library has no limit to the type and scale of information it attracts.

It is all about getting our content or messaging or nuggets out to audiences through old and new channels and making money out of it.

Milamber is focusing its initial content capture strategy on subjects that are 'must have' topics for organisations such as compliance, and regulatory content.

Milamber is focused on assimilating engaging, high quality, best of breed content from premium brands in the business education and personal development arenas and packaging this content for easy access and consumption in different formats by individuals at any time.   

Milamber is focusing initial efforts on opening up the burgeoning mobile distribution channel to compliment traditional methods. The advent of devices such as the iPhone, iPod Touch and now the iPad has opened up the commercial world for applications and the concept of content on demand anywhere, anytime, anyhow.
