Milamber is launching - Milamber Media Match Fund I.
Milamber has already won a major Technology Strategy Board Grant for £750k as part of a £1.5m project to build the Digital Learning Market place, Milamber came 16th out of 137 for a Euro4m EU Funding Grant application and the first 12 were funded so missing our by just 4 places, Milamber helped PIXEL secure a £25k Grant in Feb 2011.
Currently Milamber is either applying directly for or helping others to apply for another 4 grants in April 2011 alone.
What we have found is that when a grant is won we still need to secure 'Matched' funding. Therefore, Milamber is launching 'Milamber Media Match Fund 1' this is Members only fund that co-invests in projects that have secured grants and as a result gets to own IP from the product or project being funded. Over time this will generate recurring revenues for the Fund as it will own the IP for each of the projects or products it invests in.
By collaborating as a consortium Members can pool their resources in the Fund to more effectively help develop cutting edge education products and at the time leverage these resources by doubling their investment by linking with grant funded projects, and over time will get a return via revenues coming into the Fund and being then distributed to Members. Members will be allocated any returns on a pro-rata basis to their proportional investment in the fund.
Milamber Media Match Fund I overall objective is to match fund and co-create new digital education products via partnerships to generate recurring reveneus for our Members.
